WB SUCKS! THEY HAVE MOVED THE MOVIE PREMIER TO JULY 17TH 09

The press release says the reason for the move was two-fold: First, the studio says summer releases are better for "family tentpole" events, and second, they are still feeling the aftereffects of the writer's strike and need the time to make sure the filM reaches the widest audience possible

The new date, said Jeff Robinov, president of WB's motion picture group, does not alter the production schedule for the last two Harry Potter films; filming on the first of the two book-seven films will begin in February. "The good news for [fans]," he said, "is that the gap will now be shortened between 'Half-Blood Prince' and the first part of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.'"

"NO!" That was my initial reaction. I was fuming when I found out, but now I've calmed down and realized a few things...

1) This is not a dream nightmare.....It's reality.
2) We can't do anything about this.
3) We are all going to go see the movie in July anyway, regardless of out muttering and cursing.
4) I've not calmed down and am still fuming.


I know I can't do anything to change this decision. It was made for purely selfish reasons, and in human beings, greed downs out kindness.....Which is apparent right now.

However, some of you out there might want to try and change this so, I'm gonna help somewhat.

Seriously, i am away from the forum for ONE FREAKING DAY and this happens!!! I am so mad

I knew something was wrong when it took so long for the trailer to come out. And now that I have seen the trailer, this news is a million times worse than if there had been no trailer. AARGGGGGG!!!!

The good news is that Twilight will be replacing HBP. Twilight will now be released on 11/21/08 rather than in December.

I wonder if on the day of the Half Blood Prince movie release in July 2009 there will be protesters outside theatres protesting and convincing people that were about to buy tickets to turn around, go home, and support us. The purpose being to warn WB to never again delay a movie with a fan base as large as Harry Potter's and causing their profits for HBP to plummet.

If that does happen, I will be there protesting. Hopefully our goal will be met and profit for the HBP film will plummet, hence causing those at WB to deeply regret there decision for the delay. Aw.. vengence is sweet.

this is bull *Carp*. yes i am a twilight fan, a big one too, but Harry Potter comes first! we been waiting for this movie for the longest time. we been waiting for ginny and harry to finally kiss, and dreading to see dumbledore die. twilight is big, but its not as big as harry potter and i think it will never be. now don’t get me wrong. i love twilight, i love it as much as i love harry potter, but come on. it was pathetic of them to move the date to july 17 09. they only moved it because it would have gone up against twilight. so they moved it next year so they can make more money. well, i have made my descion, on november 21st, im sitting outside my movie theater with a sign stating “i came to see Harry Potter, not twilight”. then dec 12 on the ACCUTAL date release for twilight ill see the movie, and now, i might not hbp. i refuse to see it a year after its orignal release date. ill just wait to download the movie or wait to dvd. im not looking forward to the movie anymore….WB bascailly just took away my love of the movies now
